Download GhostEdit
GhostEdit 1.0-alpha5 is the first public release of GhostEdit. The main changes for this release are a significant refactoring of the code into a more logical order, and the use of Creative Commons licensed icons (credit to Gentleface). Alpha 5 also contains bugfixes, a tidier toolbar, and demo files. If you have thoughts, comments, or feedback then please post it below or email me on nico@nicoburns.com.
Demo
A chance for you to try the editor for yourself. Note that bold titles look the same as ordinary titles, this is simply because of the fonts we use on this site and not an editor fault.
How and why to use this editor

GhostEdit is a new Rich Text Editor designed to compete with TinyMCE, CKeditor and the like.
How
I figure what you really want to do is try this thing out, so here are the instructions.
Edit an image?
Click it. Drag the handle in the corner to resize, click the arrow to move it the the other side of the page, click the X in the other corner to delete. That's it.

Links?
To create one - select some text, click the link button, enter url, click Create Link. Done.
To remove one - click the link, click remove link. Done.
Why
What makes GhostEdit better than the competition?
Narrow focus, solid implementation
GhostEdit does not have the same amount of features as an editor like TinyMCE, however it aims to implement the features it does have in the best possible way, so that they are easy and intuitive to use.
All the little things
GhostEdit considers the little details to be one of the most important parts of a software product. We hope to avoid those niggling little issues which make the difference between a mediocre and a pleasant experience.
Known Issues
- It is impossible to change an image's source after it has been created.- Attempting to click in the image alt-text box unfocuses the image.
- When changing from the image tab to the link tab, the format tab is shown instead.
- Image moving buttons are unintuitive when there are multiple images next to each other.
